Vindeln is a place in the Swedish province of Västerbotten County and the historic province of Västerbotten . Vindeln is 45 kilometers northwest of Umeå on the Vindelälven river . Vindeln is the capital of the municipality of the same name .
About ten kilometers north of the village, in the direction of Hällnäs , there is a small airfield on the other side of the Vindelälven.
