Storyteller is a five-piece pop-punk band that was founded in Dessau in 2012 .
history
Storyteller was founded in Dessau in the summer of 2012 and consists of the singer Rico Opitz, the two guitarists David and Kevin Becker, the bassist Nils Sackewitz and the drummer Max Sarich.
Shortly after the band was founded, several punk labels became aware of the group, including Let It Burn Records , which decided to digitally release the debut EP Take Me Home in February 2013 via the subsidiary label Acuity.Music . Four months later, the musicians finally signed a record deal with Let It Burn Records and announced their debut album Frontier Spirit for November of the same year. The album was produced by Aljoscha Sieg in Pitchback Studios. Between October 31 and November 16, 2013, the band could be seen together with the singer-songwriter Gray Gordon in the opening act of Marathonmann on their concert tour, which led through Germany , Austria and Switzerland .
With the song Dirty Sheets , storytellers were featured on the label sampler for the 15th anniversary of Let It Burn Records. In September 2016, Problems Solved was the band's second studio album, followed by Time Flies in 2018, which marked the band's third studio album. After the group had been quiet for a long time, the musicians announced on July 5, 2020 that the group would be dissolved due to personal reasons. A farewell concert is planned.
