The Þrengslavegur is a main road in the south of Iceland .

It branches off from the ring road to the south between Reykjavík and Hveragerði without intersections and continues for 16 km on the Þorlákshafnarvegur to Þorlákshöfn , the former port of the Herjólfur ferry to Heimaey . The road is an alternative route if the route over Hellisheiði is impassable due to the weather. It is completely paved. Next to and under this street is the Raufarhólshellir .
