Strait of Alor

The Alor Strait is a strait in the Lesser Sunda Islands . It separates the island of Lembata ( Solor Archipelago ) in the west from the island of Pantar ( Alora Archipelago ) in the east. At the same time the Strait of Alor connects the Banda Sea in the north with the Sawu Sea in the south. Some small islands lie between the two large ones in the strait.

Politically, the region belongs to the Indonesian province of East Nusa Tenggara .
