The Konotop tram ( Ukrainian Конотопський трамвай / [ konoˈtɔpsʲkɪj t̪rɑmˈʋɐi̯ ]) is the basic public transport service in the Ukrainian city of Konotop .
history
The tram in Konotop was built with a gauge of 1524 mm ( Russian broad gauge ) and opened on December 25, 1949.
The network has been expanded to a total of three lines to date. With a route length of 28 kilometers, it is one of the smallest tram networks in Ukraine. The tram network is mostly single-track, the roads through which it passes are partly unpaved. The operation is carried out with railcars of the type KTM-5 , built from 1975 to 1989 by the Ust-Katawer Waggonbaufabrik (UKWS).
In 2018, the tram was idle for 3.5 months due to over-indebtedness until it was put back into operation on September 22, 2018. In 2019, 6 used Tatra T3A railcars were taken over from Riga .

- Line 2: wul. Rjaboschapka – Motordetal (20-min cycle)
