The Strada Statale 68 (SS 68) was an Italian state road that was established in 1928 between the SS 1 at Cecina and the SS 2 at Poggibonsi . It does not go back to any of the Strada nazionale established in 1923. Because of its leadership through the Cecina valley , the SS 68 received the title "di Val Cecina" . Their length was 71.5 kilometers. In 2001 it was downgraded to the regional road, today's Strada regional 68 di Val Cecina (SR 68).
