Strict mountains

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As Strictly mountains is commonly called the hills around the village Strengenberg in Lower Austria .

Although the term is not a toponym , it has established itself particularly among motorists, as the B1 federal road leads over the hilly landscape.

Geomorphologically, these are extensive sand and gravel banks on the southern bank of the Danube between St. Valentin and Amstetten , which tower over the Danube by about 150 meters. The eponymous place Strengberg lies elongated on one of these gravel banks.
