Prix ​​Gaïa

The Prix ​​Gaïa is an award for exceptional achievements in watchmaking .

The prize has been awarded by the Musée international d'horlogerie in La Chaux-de-Fonds since 1993 . This is an honorary award (without prize money). In the media it is often referred to as "the Nobel Prize in watchmaking". There are three categories of awards: “Artisanat création” (handicrafts), “Esprit d'entreprise” (entrepreneurship) and “Histoire” (history and research). The prize is only awarded if honorable candidates are found. Accordingly, it was not awarded every year and in all categories.
