Stroganina ( Russian строганина ) is a Russian specialty from Yakutia and consists of raw, frozen fish. Thin pieces of fillet of the frozen fish are rolled in makanina , a mixture of salt and pepper. Stroganina only served raw and cooked from various fish species, mainly of whitefish , whitefish , cisco , white salmon , sturgeon , Muksun , golden trout or taimen .

A variant from Northern Eurasia is reindeer stroganina made from frozen reindeer meat.
