The Studentenwerk Frankfurt am Main (MainSWerk) has the legal task of supporting the around 80,000 students in the Rhine-Main area economically, socially, health-wise, sportily and culturally. It is a member of the German Student Union .
The Student Union has as a public institution over 430 employees and currently manages 32 canteens , cafeterias, coffee shops and coffee bars. It provides students with 32 student residences with around 2,900 places and is involved in the implementation of BAföG and Aufstiegs-BAföG . The cleaning activities are carried out by the Studentenwerk Frankfurt am Main through the subsidiary MainSWerk Service GmbH.
It also advises students on topics such as student finance , psychosocial advice or studying with children and supports them in their search for student jobs .
