Student hunting association
A student hunting association is a student association that cultivates both student and hunting customs . These connections arose as a union of hunting and forestry interested students at scientific universities.
The focus of the connected life is both the maintenance of the student customs with pubs and Kommersen as well as the hunting and forest science training of the students. Technical lectures are given, shooting ranges are visited together, hunting horn groups are formed and joint hunts are held.
Most hunting associations are color-bearing and optional hitting . There are several names for hunting associations in Germany:
- Jagdcorps (e.g. Jagdcorps Masovia zu Berlin in the WJSC)
- Hunting Association (e.g. Academic Hunting Association Hubertia Aachen )
- Hunting Corporation
- Hunters
The hunting associations in Germany and Austria are organized in two umbrella organizations. Most of them belong to the Wernigeroder Jagdkorporationen Senioren-Convent (WJSC), others to the Congress of Academic Hunting Corporations (KAJC).
