The Sturup Raceway is a race track about 30 km east of Malmö ( Sweden ). It is located immediately west of Malmö Airport .

From 1972, rallycross events were organized on the site , the track originally being called Sturupsbanan , which was changed to Skånecrossbanan in the early 1980s . In 1989 the track was completely paved so that the first circuit races could be held as early as 1990. In 2001, the then 1.1 km long route was acquired by the Brask Management team . In addition to Giorgio Pantano and Andy Priaulx, this company manages a number of racing drivers and even maintains a team in the Danish Touring Car Championship . Only 45 minutes away from Copenhagen in Denmark , this championship has held races at the Sturup Raceway since 2005. The domestic Swedish touring car championship has only been competing near Malmö since 2007.

The start of international series, however, only enabled an extensive reconstruction of the route after the takeover in 2001. The route section before the start and finish was extended. This corresponds to today's 1.48 km long short course. At the northern hairpin, the course was also extended by about 600 m. The pits and the start and finish lines of the course, which is now approx. 2.1 km long, were moved to this new section.
