Stylianos Schicho (* 1977 in Vienna ) is an Austrian painter .

life and work

Schicho studied from 1998 at the University of Applied Arts Vienna under Prof. Wolfgang Herzig and graduated in 2005 with a diploma with distinction.

Painting style

Hartwig Knack, curator of the Kunsthalle Krems, describes the work of Stylianos Schicho in the text for the 2006 exhibition (excerpt): The topic of perception, surveillance, observation and self-observation plays a key role in the work of the Vienna-born artist Stylianos Schicho, who was born in 1977. His aim is to sound out "observation or surveillance rooms" in which observation and surveillance is carried out by positioning cameras.
