SuS Nippes 12 (officially: Spiel und Sport Köln-Nippes 1912 eV) is a sports club from the Cologne district of Nippes . The first soccer team played in the highest amateur league in the Middle Rhine region for four years.

history

The club was founded in 1912 as Prussia 12 Nippes and was called Spielvereinigung 12 Nippes after the end of the First World War . In 1921 the club took on the name Spiel und Sport Nippes 12 . With the entry in the register of associations in 1961, the association adopted its current official name. The club is popularly called Nippes 12 .

Nippes 12 was one of the founding members of the Rheinbezirksliga in 1947 , the highest amateur league on the Middle Rhine at the time, from which the club had to relegate as bottom of the table. After a runner-up behind Germania Zündorf , they rose again in 1950. In the 1950/51 season the Nippeser reached their sporting zenith with place 7. Two years later, the team was relegated to the district class, and in 1954 it was passed through to the district class. In the 1990s, the team played again for a few years in the district league before the club slipped into the district league C. In 2014 he was promoted to the District League B.
