Coordinates: 31 ° 57 ′ S , 115 ° 49 ′ E The City of Subiaco is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . Subiaco belongs to the metropolis of Perth , the capital of Western Australia. The area is seven square kilometers and has about 20,000 inhabitants (2016).
Subiaco lies north of the Swan River and borders directly to the west of Perth city center. Kings Park is to the south .
The seat of the City Council is in the Subiaco district, where around 9,000 people live (2016).

The Subiaco Council has 13 members, twelve councilors are elected by the residents of the four wards (three each from North, East, Central and South Ward). The mayor (mayor) and council chairman is also elected by all residents of the city.
