The building at Sudenburger Strasse 3 is a listed residential building in the Magdeburg district of Leipziger Strasse in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the Insel district near the eastern end of Sudenburger Strasse on the north side.

Architecture and history

The five-story building was planned in 1888 by the contractor Carl Hentrich . It was sold to August Busch during construction . The historicist facade of the simply executed brick building is eight-axis and completely evenly laid out. There is a flat plaster strip on the ground floor. The facade of the first floor is also characterized by narrow, horizontal plaster strips. The window canopies on the first and second floors are decorated with head busts and scrollwork cartouches . The building is covered by a flat roof .

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 70463 .

The residential building and the buildings opposite Sudenburger Strasse 23 and 24 form the last remaining parts of the Wilhelminian style development on the street. It was built as a simple apartment building in the original working-class district , near the Gruson factory .
