Susan Bernard

Susan Bernard ( Sue Bernard ; born February 11, 1948 in Los Angeles ; † June 21, 2019 there ) was an American author and model . In 1965, when she was sixteen, she played the role of Linda in the film Die Satansweiber von Tittfield , directed by Russ Meyer .

In December 1966, Bernard was featured in Playboy as the first Jewish Playmate of the Month (photographed by Mario Casilli).

She was the daughter of Bruno Bernard , celebrity photographer and emigrant , Holocaust survivor, and Ruth Brand, stage actress and director. In a later interview (1998 in Femme Fatales) she stated: "I was the first under-18 Jewish virgin who was in the centerfold placed in front of a Christmas tree" and that until then no one except her mother had seen her naked before Casilli, who was being trained by her father at the time, organized the shoot with her.

Only a few casts for supporting roles in B-movies and TV soaps followed.

Her son Joshua John Miller was born from her marriage to writer and actor Jason Miller .

In the 1990s she published several books on the history of pin-ups in the 60s.
