Sue Foley

Sue Foley (born March 29, 1968 in Ottawa , Ontario , Canada ) is a Canadian blues singer , guitarist and songwriter .

Foley made her first club appearances on the Ottawa blues scene at the age of 16. She received her first record deal at Antone's Records and moved to the United States to Austin , Texas . In 1992 she released her first record there. In 1997 she returned to Canada and moved to Shanachie Records . Since 2001 she has been working on the Guitar Woman project , a story and biography of female guitarists from various musical genres.

In 2020 she received a Blues Music Award in the category 'Best Female Artist Traditional Blues'.
