Suehiro Canal

The Suehiro Canal ( Japanese 多 摩 運河 Suehiro unga , literally: "wide end") is an artificial waterway in the Japanese city of Kawasaki , Kanagawa Prefecture . The canal is also known by the name of "Anchorage Suehiro Canal" 末 広 運河 泊 地 ( Suehiro unga hakuchi ).

It is located in the southern part of the Kawasaki district , belonging to the Keihin industrial belt , in the Yakō and Oshima districts. The Chidori , Tama and Daishi canals form the southeast end of the water at their intersection. The north-west end near the Shiodome Bridge marks the extension of the small harbor basin that gave the canal its name. It serves, among other things, as a boat mooring and anchorage for houseboats.
