Tama Canal

The Tama Canal ( Japanese 多 摩 運河 Tama unga ) is an artificial waterway in the Japanese city of Kawasaki ( Kanagawa Prefecture ). The name of the canal is derived from the Tama River into which it flows. In addition, the canal is known as the "anchor point Tama Canal" (多 摩 運河 泊 地, Tama unga hakuchi ).

It is located in the southern part of the Kawasaki district, part of the Keihin industrial belt , in the Ukishima and Oshima districts. The Chidori Canal and the Daishi Canal are at the southwest, and the Tama River at the northeast end of the canal.
