Suisse Toy
The Suisse Toy is the largest toy fair of Switzerland and takes place every autumn in since 2000 Bern instead. The organizer of the Suisse Toy is Bernexpo AG . In 2020 the Suisse Toy was supposed to take place in spring together with the BEA , but had to be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
Creation and concept
From 1964 to 1984, an annual trade fair exclusively for toy retailers took place on the Bernexpo exhibition grounds. In the 1990s, the Modell + Hobby trade fair came into being, which was also open to the public. Due to the strategy of transforming the fair into a holistic family fair in addition to model making, the fair was renamed Suisse Toy in 2000. The fair developed into Switzerland's national toy fair with around 200 exhibitors. From 2002 up to and including 2011, the Suisse Toy recorded around 50,000 visitors annually, a total of half a million visitors in this period.
In 2007 the E-Games - trade fair for electronic games was integrated, and since 2016 it has been renamed Suisse Toy Digital. Since 2016, the largest Lan party in Switzerland has been held with around 1,000 participants. Also in 2016, a drone race was held for the first time at the E-Games.
From 2011 to 2015, the creative design and work area was expanded with the integration of Creaktiv , the Swiss trade fair for creative design and work. As a parallel fair, it was presented in its own hall.
The Suisse Toy is a manufacturer-oriented public fair, where the focus is not on the sale of products, but primarily to give the visitor an informative overview of the current games. In addition, the visitor has the opportunity to test the toys presented.

Suisse Toy Award
The Suisse Toy Award is the first Swiss toy award and the only consumer award for toys worldwide . The Swiss Toy Association launched it at Suisse Toy in 2007. The toys submitted for the Suisse Toy Award are judged by children. They are publicly invited to take a seat on the jury and evaluate the toys completely independently of any criteria. All toy importers and manufacturers active in Switzerland can take part in the Suisse Toy Award. Membership in the Swiss Toy Association is not required, and participation in the Suisse Toy is not required.
