Suissepro
In the Swiss umbrella organization for safety and health protection "suissepro" , specialist societies that deal with safety and health protection at work in Switzerland have been merged into a superordinate umbrella organization . All members of the professional associations are also members of the umbrella association. The seat of the association depends on the place of work of the president conference.
The aim is to maintain the interdisciplinary exchange of experience and knowledge between the specialists in safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics and health protection in the workplace.
The association supports the professional societies in their efforts to strengthen safety and health protection in the workplace. It takes a position on current problems and issues of legislation, research and practice in the field of occupational safety and health protection at work and related areas. She maintains contact and cooperation with international, national and regional organizations and institutions that pursue the same goals.
The association prepares statements for the attention of authorities and organizations ( Suva , Ekas ) on laws, ordinances and leaflets in the legislative area of occupational safety and health protection.
The association has set up two commissions that deal with special tasks:
- the limit value commission for the establishment of exposure limit values at the workplace
- the Science Commission, which deals with issues relating to the promotion and coordination of occupational science , awards the science prize for outstanding and innovative work in the field of occupational safety and health protection, and takes care of safeguarding interests in occupational science
