The Sulina Arm (or Sulina Arm ) is the middle arm of the mouth of the Danube into the Black Sea . Together with the Chilia arm and the Sfântu-Gheorghe arm , they form the Danube Delta .

description

It is the branch of the estuary with the least amount of water - only 18.8% of the total water of the Danube flows through it. The city of Sulina lies at its mouth in the Black Sea .

The Sulinaarm is without great curves and has sufficient water depths. It is maintained as a shipping route for large shipping. Because of the lower amount of water compared to the Kiliaarm and Sfântu-Gheorghe-Arm and therefore also the significantly lower solid input, the Sulinaarm is not as muddy as the other delta arms.

The Sulina arm is therefore often called the Sulina Canal.
