Sultan Munadi
Sultan Mohammad Munadi (born November 22, 1976 - September 9, 2009 ) was an Afghan journalist and translator. He worked u. a. for the New York Times and the Afghan state radio Good Morning Afghanistan.
Munadi was kidnapped by the Taliban on September 5, 2009 together with his British-Irish colleague Stephen Farrell during a report near Kunduz in northern Afghanistan and was killed during the liberation operation by the British Special Boat Service of the Royal Marines (SBS) on September 9, 2009 shot.
