The bee clan around the little Benni Biene turns out to be a completely normal family, which lives in a huge beehive and is very important to cohesion. Benni often proves to be very helpful and helps the other residents, for example by taking on tasks from them.

The series was produced in Canada between 2010 and 2011 by DQ Entertainment, Lupus Films, Monumental Productions and Picture Production Company. This resulted in 2 seasons with 152 episodes.
The series was first broadcast on September 10, 2010 ABC2 . The German premiere took place on August 20, 2012 on Disney Junior and on free TV on January 20, 2014 on the Disney Channel . The series was also released on DVD and various video-on-demand providers.
