The Summit Lake ( English for "summit lake") is a lake on the Interior Plateau in the Canadian province of British Columbia .
The lake is located in the Omineca region about 50 km north of Prince George . The U-shaped Summit Lake drains northwards via the Crooked River . The 13.8 km² lake (of which 0.9 km² is island area) with a catchment area of 155 km² belongs to the hydrological catchment area of the Arctic Ocean . It is located near the highest notch between the 5636 m high Citlaltépetl in Mexico and the 5959 m high Mount Logan near the Alaska border .
The British Columbia Highway 97 runs along the eastern shore. There is also the settlement (unincorporated community) Summit Lake .
