Sun Electric

Sun Electric is a German music project in the field of electronic music . The members are Max Loderbauer and Tom Thiel .

history

Loderbauer and Thiel first played with the musician Stephan Fischer in the band Fischerman's Friend. When Fischer left the band, Loderbauer and Thiel continued to produce music as a duo under the name Sun Electric. The first release of the project was the single O'locco in 1990 on Renaat Vandepapelieres label R&S Records . This was followed by an EP with remixes of O'locco by the musicians friend of the project The Orb .

In 1993 the debut album Kitchen was released on R&S Records. In 1994 Loderbauer and Thiel worked on the production of the Orb album Pomme Fritz . A wider audience the project was their track Sundance on the successful compilation Café del Mar known.

In the following years the studio albums Aaah! , Present and Via Nostra and the live album 30-7-94 . After international appearances, the project was initially renamed SEBerlin and was dissolved a short time later.

In 2007, Lost & Found (1998–2000) was released via Shitkatapult, a compilation of various pieces from the years 1998 to 2000. At the same time, Sun Electric performed live for the first time since 2000.
