Sunlounger was an English nu-metal and sleaze rock band from Barnsley that was formed in 1998 and split up around 2000.
history
The band was formed in February 1998 by guitarist and singer Lee Storrar, bassist Chris Potts and drummer Pete Williams. In the summer of that year a first EP followed under the name Mealticket . A song of this publication was on the cover- CD 21st Century Media Blitz II of the Metal Hammer published. In addition, the group held performances. In 1999 a second EP followed under the name Personal Services on the band's own label Savor at Volume Records. After the release of the single Puppy Fat , which was the debut on Org Records , Lee Hardman joined as the new drummer. The debut album followed in 2000Some Is Good, More Is Better, Too Much Is Just Right. Then the band broke up. From 2003 the members tried to appear with a new band called GU Medicine.
style
Christian Graf assigned the group Nu Metal and Crossover Lexicon to Nu Metal. He also gave the opinion of Metal Hammer , in which the debut album was referred to as " Led Zeppelin on Crack ". In addition, it is about Sleaze Rock, which is rhythmic and full of testosterone . Joel McIver described the band in his book The Next Generation of Rock & Punk Nu Metal as the young hope of Nu Metal.
