Supla
Supla (born April 2, 1966 in São Paulo ), stage name of Eduardo Smith de Vasconcelos Suplicy , is a Brazilian singer, actor and presenter of Brazilian television. He is the son of Marta Suplicy , former mayor of São Paulo and Minister of Tourism, and of Eduardo Matarazzo Suplicy , economist and politician.
Supla became famous in the German-speaking world through a liaison with Nina Hagen , from which the song Garota de Berlim emerged in 1985 . An allusion to the original Garota de Ipanema composed by the Brazilian Antônio Carlos Jobim in 1962 .
