The Surko Stream is a meltwater river 1.5 km south of Gneiss Point on the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows from the front of the Wilson Piedmont Glacier in an easterly direction to Arnold Cove .

The river was explored between 1957 and 1968 by the American geologist Robert Nichols (1904-1995) on behalf of the United States Navy . Nichols named him after Lieutenant Alexander Surko Jr. (1928-2013), deputy commander of a team in the US Navy for the construction of a runway just north of the river.
