Susan Gibney

Susan Gibney (born September 11, 1961 in Manhattan Beach , California ) is an American actress .

Life

She has five older and two younger siblings. In her childhood she moved to Webster , New York, and returned to California several times and has lived in Webster since 2004. Gibney graduated from Buffalo State College in New York with a degree in theater . She also received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama . She has two daughters. She is best known for her recurring guest appearances as District Attorney Renee Walcott on the television series Crossing Jordan - Pathologist with Profile .

Susan Gibney was part of the history of the Star Trek television series, with much going on behind the scenes. She made guest appearances on Starship Enterprise: The Next Century as Dr. Leah Brahms and in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as Erika Benteen . She was considered for the role of Captain Kathryn Janeway in Star Trek: Voyager , but the studio rejected her as too young. She was later considered for the role of Seven of Nine and was cast twice.
