Susana dos Santos Herrmann (born May 13, 1968 in Kempen ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

biography

Susana dos Santos grew up as a child of Portuguese parents. She attended school in Germany until 1982 and then lived in Portugal until 1987 . In 1987 she returned to Germany to study history and sociology in Cologne , where she completed her master's degree . After completing an internship , she worked in public relations.

politics

Dos Santos joined the SPD in 1990. She was a member of the Council of the City of Cologne from 2004 to 2017, from 2009 as deputy parliamentary group leader. In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 , she received the direct mandate in the Cologne VI state electoral district .

After she moved into the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia, dos Santos Herrmann resigned her seat on the Cologne city council on October 9, 2017 after working for 13 years.
