Susanne Brandt
Susanne Brandt (born February 6, 1964 in Hamburg ) is a librarian , rhythm teacher (BWR), author, blogger and editor.
Career
Susanne Brandt studied librarianship and cultural studies in Hamburg , Stuttgart and at the Hagen Open University . This was followed by further training in rhythmic-musical education, poetry and bibliotherapy, integration and language promotion as well as intercultural music practice. From 1987 to the end of 1999 she was director of the Cuxhaven Music Library . From the beginning of 2000 to 2011 Brandt worked as a library manager in Westoverledingen and as a freelancer in the project “Reading aloud in families” at the Center for Literature at the Fantastic Library in Wetzlar.
Brandt has been the publisher, composer and author of specialist publications as well as poems, stories, essays, songs, adaptations and pieces of music for children and adults since the early 1990s. Some books and articles have also been published in Czech, Slovak, Spanish, Portuguese, English, Italian, Danish, Polish and Low German translations. Since 2015 she has been volunteering as an integration pilot and has been part of the editorial team at “Refugee Magazine” Hamburg since 2017. Brandt is a member of the lyricists and composers group TAKT as well as a member of the European authors' association " Die Kogge ".
Since summer 2011 she has been working full-time as a lecturer at the Schleswig-Holstein library in Flensburg , where she also lives. In addition, she works as a lecturer and lecturer at various institutes and universities.
