Susanne Busse (* June 1971 in Berlin ) is a German computer scientist and university professor. She was dean at the Brandenburg University of Technology and the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1990, Susanne Busse began studying computer science at the Technical University of Berlin , which she completed with a diploma in 1996 . From 1996 to 1998 she worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Software and System Technology ISST in Berlin. In 1998 she returned to the Technical University of Berlin as a research assistant . She initially worked there until 2002 at the Institute for Communication and Software Technology and in 2002, working on model correspondence for the continuous development of mediator-based information systems, became a Dr.-Ing. PhD . She then moved to Faculty IV - Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, where she worked until 2008 as a research assistant with teaching tasks . From 2008 to 2009 she initially worked as a substitute professor at the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences. Since 2009 she has been permanently employed there as a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Media. Since 2012 she has been the dean of the Department of Computer Science and Media, which makes her the first woman to head a department at the Brandenburg University of Technology (until 2016 Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences). She is part of the teaching staff of the Brandenburg Medical School, which was founded in 2014 .

Susanne Busse's teaching and research activities focus on the areas of databases , medical information systems, information integration and model-driven software development .
