Susanne Laschütza

Susanne Laschütza (* 1967 in Salzkotten ) is a German illustrator , graphic artist and picture book author with a focus on animal and nature topics.

Life

Born in Salzkotten and raised in Dortmund, Laschütza discovered her enthusiasm for painting, especially horses, in her childhood. Through an internship at a horse farm in Wendland, she realized her love for nature. After studying visual communication at the University of the Arts in Berlin , she moved to the rural Altmark in Saxony-Anhalt with a degree in design .

Today Laschütza lives on a farm in Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt. In addition to writing and designing her own books, she does commissioned illustrations and graphics, designs logos , gives readings and carries out writing and painting workshop projects in schools and kindergartens.
