Susanne Schaup
Susanne Schaup (* 1940 in Vienna ) is an Austrian author and translator .
Life
Schaup studied English and American literature in Vienna, Salzburg and in the USA. From 1968 to 1970 she lived in London, where she worked as a lecturer in German language at Westfield College of the University of London worked. After that, Schaup went to Munich, where she worked as a publishing editor until 1977 and then until 1996 as a freelance author, translator, editor and freelancer for various broadcasting companies. Since 1997 she has been living in her hometown Vienna again.

Schaup translates from English, u. A. Works from American classics such as Henry David Thoreau , Ralph Waldo Emerson , Walt Whitman, and Emily Dickinson . Another focus is on books on topics such as spirituality, Far Eastern religions and psychology, including some books by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross . She also translated two books by Raimon Panikkar from Spanish.
