Suzy Vernon , actually Amélie Paris , (born June 26, 1901 in Nice , † January 24, 1997 in Moulins ) was a French actress .

Life

She had already played in various theaters since the end of the First World War.

She made her film debut in 1922. Directed by Jacques Feyder , she starred in Das Bildnis (1923) and in the Franco-Swiss production Kindergesichter (1925) in Vienna . In 1927 she played in Ufa productions, including Manfred Noa's crook in tails and The secret power of Erich Waschneck . She often played good-humored lovers or divas and was popular in France and Germany between the mid-1920s and early 1930s.

In 1930 she made a detour to Hollywood and appeared in two French versions of American originals. In 1940 she finally ended her career.

In 1958, Suzy Vernon married a Lebanese surgeon and moved with him to the Middle East.
