Sven-Erik Gissbol

Sven-Erik Gissbol , actually Sven-Erik Karlsson , (born March 5, 1945 ) is a Swedish artist and singer.

He was born in Halmstad and started playing the trumpet when he was 12 years old. At 15 he played in Halmstad in the band Leif Steens . In 1967 he had his first song in the Swedish Top 10, the Swedish version of the song A shadow of your smile . In 1968 he started singing in the dansband Cool Candys . They were one of the most famous bands in Sweden at the time. With them he had his first No. 1 hit in 1969, the song Var enda sommar . He received his first gold record for the album Go'bitar1 . This was followed by Go'bitar 2-3-4-5-6 , which also received gold status, even platinum was among them. He sang with the Cool Candys until 1976, then Sven-Erik Gissbol founded his own orchestra, Gissbols .

In 1981 he switched to Curt Haagers as a singer . With this band he had a successful start with the song Fageldansen . It was # 1 in the top 10 and sold over 200,000 copies, both the single and the album. He worked with Curt Haagers until 2003. Then he withdrew a little. A total of 37 songs were with him as a singer in the Svensktoppen .
