Sven-Olov Axelsson (also Sven-Olov Axelsson-Gossas ; born January 22, 1941 in Dala-Floda , Gagnef municipality , Dalarnas län ) is a former Swedish biathlete .

Sven-Olov Axelsson started in his active time for the club Dala-Floda IF . In 1963 and 1964 he was Swedish champion in the individual competition over 20 km. Axelsson represented Sweden at the 1963 Biathlon World Cup . He celebrated his greatest international success by participating in the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck . Axelsson achieved the fourth-best time with 1: 21: 13.6 hours, but only came 17th in the final standings due to six shooting errors, which meant 12 penalty minutes.
