Sven Andersson (soccer player, 1907)

Sven Andersson (born February 14, 1907 in Össeby-Garn ; † May 30, 1981 in Solna ) was a Swedish national soccer player and soccer coach.

Career

Andersson started playing football at Hagalunds IS , then went to AIK Solna . On October 28, 1928 he made his debut in the Allsvenskan against GAIS Göteborg , and scored his first goal a year later in a 1-1 draw against the same opponent.

Andersson played a total of 235 games in the top Swedish division. He scored 28 goals. In 1932 and 1937 he was Swedish champion. In 1940 he ended his playing career.

Andersson has been the Swedish national team 27 times . With the selection he took part in the 1934 World Cup and played two games during the tournament.

After the end of his playing career, Andersson worked as a coach at Vasalunds IF .
