In mid-2008 Lintjens was about to sign with third division Dynamo Dresden . But this was thwarted by a serious injury, due to which the East Club lost interest. Lintjens found a new club in December 2008 in his ex-club Wuppertaler SV Borussia , where he initially trained. After he had recovered from his injury, he signed a contract for the 3rd division there for the second half of the 2008/09 season. In 2010 Lintjes ended his career with this club.
