Sven Messerschmidt

Sven Messerschmidt (* 1975 ) is a German chef .

Career

After training as a chef from 1991 to 1994, after a few intermediate stops, he went to the one- star restaurant Orangerie in Brühl in 1996 and to the three-star restaurant Dieter Müller in Bergisch Gladbach in 1999 .

In 2000, at the age of 25, Messerschmidt was the youngest chef in Germany to receive his first Michelin star in the Husarenquartier in Erftstadt . Another star followed in 2002 in the Traube in Freiburg im Breisgau . Sven Messerschmidt has been head chef at the Relais & Châteaux Hotel Burg Schwarzenstein in Geisenheim since December 2006 , where he has also been awarded a Michelin star and 17 Gault Millau points since 2008 . In early 2013 he moved to Gut Lärchenhof in Pulheim near Cologne.

In March 2015 he set up his own restaurant Messerschmidt in Auerhahn in Pulheim near Cologne.
