Sven Schlicht (born August 23, 1991 in Gießen ) is a German ice hockey player who plays in the position of striker and has been playing for EHC Neuwied since December 2014 .

Career

Sven Schlicht comes from the offspring of EC Bad Nauheim , played there in the youth league and at the age of 16 moved to the youth department of the Iserlohner EC , for which he spent two years in the German youth league as well as in the second team in the regional league was used.

Sven spent the 2009/10 season together with his twin brother Dennis in the east of the Republic and played half a season each for the Jonsdorfer Falken and the ELV Tornado Niesky . Then the brothers parted ways and Sven was signed by the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven , where he was both in the junior team and in the second division team. After more than 60 games in the second highest ice hockey league , he moved back to his home club in Bad Nauheim , made it out of the league with the Red Devils and stayed in the DEL2 for another year .

In the summer of 2014, he did not receive a new contract in the first team and initially played for the second representative of the Kurstädter. In December he was signed with his brother Dennis by EHC Neuwied .
