Sven Wiebe

Sven Wiebe (* 1963 in Cologne ) is a German economic geographer and non-party political official . Since September 18, 2019, he has been State Councilor for economics at the Senator for Economics, Labor and Europe of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen .

Life

Wiebe graduated from high school in Bergisch Gladbach and then started studying geography with a focus on economic geography and minor subjects in urban planning and public law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . In his diploma thesis he dealt with European regional policy. After completing his studies, he worked as an appraiser for a business consultancy from 1990 to 1994, before becoming a consultant in the field of European and federal funds at the Senator for Economics of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen in 1995 . In 2000 he took over the management of the regional policy and industry and finance departments at the renamed Senator for Economics and Ports . In 2008 he took over the management of the General Affairs department of the Senator for Economics, Labor and Ports , before he took over the management of the central department of the Senator for Economics, Labor and Europe in 2012 . In this position he was also Deputy State Councilor in the economic department.

On September 18, 2019, Senator Kristina Vogt appointed him to the State Councilor for Economics at the Senator for Economics, Labor and Europe.
