The Svenska Landhockeyförbundet (SLHF) ( Swedish Hockey Association, the Swedish Hockey Federation ) is the governing body for hockey in Sweden . It was founded in 1973 when interest in hockey in Sweden had skyrocketed as a result of the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich . The association is a member of the Swedish Sports Federation (Swedish Riksidrottsförbundet , RF), the Swedish Olympic Committee (Swedish Sveriges Olympiska Kommitté , SOK), the European Hockey Federation (EHF) and the Fédération Internationale de Hockey (FIH). Its seat is in Gothenburg .
