Sverigehuset / Swedish House in Stockholm

The Sverigehuset (in German 'Schwedenhaus') is located on the corner of Hamngatan and Kungsträdgården in central Stockholm . It was designed by the Swedish architect Sven Markelius and planned and built between 1961 and 1969.

The building complex consists of two individual building sections, one with seven floors as a corner building and one with four floors along Kungsträdgården street. The building has a large entrance hall on two floors, which is dominated by large windows.

The building served as a cultural center and tourist information center until 2010 ; The building also housed a restaurant, library and conference room. The building has been used by a furniture store since 2010.
