history
In the place where the Evangelical Church stands today, an Evangelical Synod was held as early as 1572 . Services and official acts took place in private houses, barns or makeshift accommodation at this time . The first church built at the end of the 17th century fell victim to a major fire . In 1718/19 the current church was built as a hall church . Until after the Second World War , the building was flanked by the Protestant school on one side and the rectory on the other. The latter was not rebuilt after its destruction. After the war damage had been repaired, renovations and structural extensions took place from 1957 to 1961 . In 1982 a community center with a youth home was built in the rear of the church . In 1996 the bell tower was renewed and the church was given a new coat of paint .
