history
The construction of the chapel in 1925 goes back to a land and monetary donation from the Hutmacher family to the parish . The chapel is dedicated to St. Jude Thaddäus and bears the same name. In addition to prayer in the case of death in the neighborhood , the chapel also serves as a blessing station during the annual Corpus Christi procession . The altar in the chapel is a gift from the parish of Uetterath .
architecture
The church building is a small, rectangular brick building with an ogival entrance and a double-winged entrance door. The gable wall is crowned with three battlements , with the middle battlement bearing a chapel cross. There are two arched windows in the side wall . Inside the chapel is plastered and painted white. The floor is tiled and the ceiling is supported by a barrel vault .
Furnishing
- In the chapel there is an altar , a crucifix , stations of the cross , several figures of saints , a prayer bench as well as candles and flower arrangements.
