location
The chapel is in the center of Vinn, on the corner of Vinn and the old tannery. There is a small parking lot next to the chapel .
prehistory
The mayor's office in Kirchhoven was composed around 1830 as follows. The Kirchdorf Kirchhoven and the villages Entebruch, Heuchden, Leick, Lumbach, Schutdorf and Finne. There are also some farms and hamlets . All villages belonged to a mayor's office. On the Tranchot map from 1803 to 1820, the individual villages are clearly recognizable. Small chapels, crucifixes and wayside shrines were built in the villages as a sign of deep faith and a close togetherness .
history
The Chapel of the Holy Family in Vinn was built by the villagers in 1898. It was used for the first time in a Corpus Christi procession in 1902 .
In 1957 an extensive restoration was carried out and a sacristy was added. The chapel association is responsible for maintaining the building.
architecture
The building is a three - bay brick construction with a three-sided choir closure and a pointed arched ribbed vault . On the saddle roof is a four-sided ridge turret with a four-sided acute helmet .
Furnishing
- In the roof turret is a bell from 1951 from the Brilon bell foundry .
- The chapel has stained glass .
- In the chapel there is a carved oak altar on a brick substructure, as well as some figures of saints .
