The chapel is part of the St. Josef retirement home in the Waldenrath district at Langbroicher Straße 7. It is on the second floor of the house.
history
In 1928 a small monastery was founded in Waldenrath . The house, sponsored by the Diozesan Caritas Association for the Diocese of Aachen eV, was converted into a nursing home in 1994 . Part of the house was set up as a chapel and is available to the residents. In 2010 the house was enlarged with an extension.
architecture
The former monastery building is a two-storey brick building in six to two axes under a crooked hip roof . There is a chapel on the second floor .
Furnishing
- An electronic organ provides musical accompaniment.
- The church has stained glass .
- In the chapel there is a wooden altar , a tabernacle , a crucifix and several figures of saints .
